Later on, Mrs María Ángeles Rodríguez, Olmix’s Technical Service Manager, went on stage at Immunosuppression 2017 (Double Tree by Hilton Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok) to deliver a speech entitled Sulfated algae polysaccharides to modulate immunity. Mrs Rodríguez took the opportunity to share her thoughts on how to use and adapt immunomodulators in the new era of antibiotic-free production.
“Poultry farms and all supporting professions are seeking to increase the performance of farms, with a new constraint in the game, that is to limit the use of antibiotics. To reach this objective, the use of immunomodulators able to support the natural defenses of the animals and improve the sanitary status of the animals is being evaluated. Specific algae extract (sulfated polysaccharides -OLMIX MSP) are innovative promising candidates, as they can stimulate both natural and acquired immunity. They proved it both in vitro and in field conditions”, she said.
