Return of the trimaran expected to take place in early January!

Pierre Antoine: First of all, thanks again to Sébastien and Hervé and, more generally, to the entire Olmix staff for their enthusiasm, commitment and creativity in the sea adventure that we have shared this year, and for their support in the face of adversity.

A big thank you to Jacques, Renée, Jérôme and to the Riem members for their involvement in this project and for the help they provided in preparing the ship.

Thank you Aurélie, Thierry, Sophie, Gaël, Frédérique and all those who contributed to the transformation of the trimaran Gamin and who helped us in the long stage of preparation for the Route du Rhum 2014.

Last but not least, many thanks to Jose, Amaya and to all the other people who helped and supported us during our hard times in La Coruña.

2014 has been an eventful year for myself and for Gamin Océan, a year of encounters, projects and adventures. A year which, unfortunately, ends by quite an improbable accident at sea and a huge disappointment, when we were well positioned and pumped up for this mythical transatlantic race.

After a period of recovery and lengthy procedures and negotiations with our insurers, the return of the ship is now expected in early January; the repairs to the ship are to be executed at the Marsaudon Composites shipyard in Lorient.  The towing will be provided by B. Escoffier with his 20 m long motor catamaran. Both are ready to set out for La Coruña as soon as a favourable weather window appears.

Until the return of the ship to Brittany, which should be a great opportunity to meet and to share with one another around new projects for the coming year, we wish you a happy holiday season and the very best for 2015 to everyone.
