The trimaran Olmix was pulled out of the water at the submarine base at 14h30 today.
Now, the ship has to undergo important repairs at Marseaudon Shipyard, after having been struck by lightning during the Route du Rhum last December.
The ship was pulled out of the water by means of a crane, without problems, under the watchful eye of skipper Pierre Antoine. Pierre, who is going to regularly monitor the progress of the repair works, should return to regattas and ocean races next 14th May, especially for the Armen Race at La Trinité sur Mer, in Brittany. The Armen Race, a non-stop ocean race which addresses both sailing professionals and amateurs, can be either single-handed or crewed.
