Under the title ‘Global knowledge: Individual Application’, the 49th edition of the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians was successfully held in San Diego, USA, from 3-6 March. Hundreds of professionals from the swine industry gathered together for a two-day program that focused on the health challenges that swine veterinarians are facing in the current market.
As one of the participants of the event, not only was Olmix present at the Technical Table tradeshow, but was also represented on stage by Mrs. María Ángeles Rodríguez, Olmix Group’s For Feed Manager, who delivered a scientific lecture.
While giving an overview of the Olmix’s algae valorization processes, which aims to collect, store, refine and valorize algae, Mrs. Rodríguez described the importance of the mucus layer to digestive protection in swine production:
