Our Thanks to Algae booth welcomed the former vice minister of AQSIQ and president of CIQA Mr GE and his colleagues and the representative of Shanghai Ocean University

The International Food Policy Summit (IFPS 2015) and the Exhibition of Safety and Quality Forum of China International Food, Meat and Aquatic Product (FMA 2015) have been organized in Shanghai from June 9th to June 12th. Those events were organized by CIQA (China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association), with the support of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) and Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MofCOM).

The summit gathered experts from the US, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain to discuss the world’s food production and regulations and the future import policy of China.

M. GE, Counsellor of the State Council of China, Former Vice Minister of AQSIQ, and President of CIQA gave the opening speech, stressing the importance of food safety in the international trade of food. He reminded the New Food Safety Law of China, that emphasizes on the responsibility of producers and importers and exporters for the control of food safety, under the strict supervision of official inspection and quarantine authorities. Dr. Charles Martins-Ferreira, Deputy agriculture Counsellor at the French Embassy in China, did a presentation on the French food production and the potential of trade for Chinese importers. He quoted OLMIX as an example of quality French products, with the new concept of “free-antibiotic chicken thanks to algae”. Mr. Marcos Sawaya Jank, for Brazilian association of animal proteins, made a brilliant presentation about China-Brazil Agri-Food Cooperation.

After the summit, Olmix attended the 2015 China international Food, Meat and Aquatic products exhibition (FMA 2015). We participated to the French Pavillion, together with famous French dairy and meat companies like Rougie, Cooperl, Sodiaal, Lactalis, etc.

We have been honored to welcome to our booth a delegation from AQSIQ, leaded by Mr. Ge. We took this occasion to present our new concept of “antibiotic free chicken, thanks to algae”.

Also, we are delighted that Doctor He, Director of Engineering Research Center for water environment ecology of Shanghai Ocean University paid a visit to our booth, to discuss the potential of cooperation. He valued the OLMIX experience on seaweed valorization.

Many contacts have been made with importers or livestock industry experts, demonstrating the interest for the OLMIX concept of “antibiotic-free chicken thanks to algae”.

In the end, we’d like to thank INAPORC, and especially Mr. MENG Fanye, to invite Olmix to participate this wonderful event, we hope to have more and more cooperation in the future!
