First anniversary of the Olmix Group factory in Asia

Olmix Group opened its first factory in Asia last year in Vietnam to further strengthen its presence and implement its development strategy all over the Asian continent.

Vietnamese local authorities, Olmix Group representatives and Olmix’s clients and partners gathered together last month to celebrate one of the most important milestones for the company in Asia: on the 10th October 2017, the French company officially opened the first additives factory in the province of Bình Dương, Vietnam.

On this special occasion, Olmix Asia counted on the presence of Mr Nguyễn Xuân Dương –Director of Department of Livestock Production of Vietnam-, many renowned professors and experts from Nong Lam University and Olmix Group’s CEO & Founder, Mr Hervé Balusson.

Olmix Asia Factory – Milestones and Achievements

“Although the difficult circumstances the swine industry in Vietnam and in Asia is going through, Olmix Group is moving forward in this area of the world and so bringing the company’s turnover close to 200 million euros. Last year we opened the factory with a clear goal in mind: a better service with greater flexibility for our Asian customers”, Mr Balusson said at the event.

Olmix Asia factory in Bình Dương was opened in October 2017 and has a production capacity of 5,000 tons per year. Since its opening, Olmix Asia has been growing significantly in terms of developing local solutions based on Olmix’s core technologies, algae. In fact, two new products have been developed and launched particularly for the Asian market: MShell (calcium metabolism enhancer) and ASEAD (a wide spectrum antibacterial agent). These new solutions got very good sales results in Vietnam and Thailand. Now, the company is looking forward to expanding this success into other regions of Asia.

Olmix Group’s global strategy and local solutions

The factory is part of the Olmix’s strategy to better adapt the group’s algae-based solutions to local situations in order to move towards a global goal: feeding 9 billion people by 2050 in a sustainable way.
