Olmix, in cooperation with Mr. Loc Tran, University of Arizona, organized a seminar on shrimp health management in Can Gio, Ho Chi Minh province, Vietnam.
Mr Loc Tran hold a conference on EMS (Early Mortality Syndrome). EMS (Early Mortality Syndrome)/AHPNS (Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Syndrome) is caused by a specific strain of Vibrio Parahemolyticus that can be found in infected shrimp’s stomachs and a solution is to manage the vibrio population. Polyculture with Tilapia can lower vibrio population in shrimp farm. Besides, some additional products can be added to help the process.
After this first conference, Ms. Ly Luan, from Olmix, talked about how to control environment water and the tool to improve digestive welfare with MFeed. More than 40 shrimp farmers attended the seminar. They received key information to improve their farm management regarding shrimp diseases.
